“The Facility” is the first book I have finished writing but not the first one I wrote. I have been writing since I can remember myself, but I could not leave this story insid. The characters, the plot, the dialogues – they all just poured out of me onto the paper and the keyboard, and after four and a half years of sisyphic work, it has been published in Hebrew and is available to purchase online and in the bookstores.

About the book

If I had to describe it in one sentence, I would say it’s a futuristic political sci-fi, that explores depression and humanity, through the eyes of an outcast scientist and her pothead friends.

 The story takes place in a dystopian futuristic world where humanity has almost been extinct, and the only survivers are in an underground city in the Eilat Gulf. The many years under the ground, radioactive radiation that permeates to the population and uncertainty about the future have brought the gulf to a boiling point. Different factions try to push to different directions and the future of the gulf is at the hands of a divided administration.

Nira, the head physicist, discovers a wormhole at the center of the gulf. Together with her partner Daniel, the bio-chemist in the gulf, and their other friends, they examine it. Nira and Daniel navigate between the different groups, the bureaucratic difficulties and other hardships in the hope that the wormhole will be the life boat that will save the human race.
